Preparing for Your wedding Day…

Preparing for your wedding can be one of the most stressful thing you will ever go through, you will have loads of questions, how do I find the right venue, the date, cost, hair stylist, Wedding photographer, dress, location etc…

There will be loads of things to worry about but here are some of my advise to couples:

  1. Plan well ahead

I will always say, ideally a year ahead. I believe in the saying, if you fail to plan, you plan to fail. I have photographed loads of weddings that are completely disorganised due to improper planing.

  2. Use professionals

There will always be that family member that can do something, either wants to be the make-up artist or event planner. Hire a professional event planner, I will recommend @beaulahroseweddings, I have worked with her before and she’s really good.

  3. Face-Face consultation

Seeing a photographer’s social media post or an hair stylist social media post usually isn’t enough to book someone for your big day. Think of it this way, you will be spending quite a lot of money for your day and you will be under a lot of pressure/stress on that day. You want to make sure, the person you are hiring isn’t adding to it, so you need to be comfortable with your vendors. Meet up with them, have the face-face consultation to see if the energy is what you want for your wedding day. This is one of the areas I excel at the most. I try my utmost best to make my couples very relaxed by making them laugh a whole lot during the day. That way, I get to photograph the best version of them.

  4. Relax…

This is the most important tip. To be honest, one way or the other, your big day will come and go. If situations arise that you can change, don’t stress, just change it. If the situation is out of your control, why worry? Worrying about it wont change anything… Plan well ahead, hire professionals, meet with them and trust God to take care of the day.
